Don Ewald shows how to twist balloons into the classic balloon animal - the dog.
Don Ewald can be found many evenings in his guise as The Balloon Chef, turning out remarkable costumed characters and balloon animals for young patrons of the On the Border Mexican restaurant at the Westfield North County mall. Since 1997, Ewald's day job has been as a teacher at Glen View Elementary School. He has taught pretty much everything from kindergarten to fifth grade. Go back far enough and you find Ewald actually started out as a psychology major at Point Loma Nazarene College. He learned to make balloon animals while a student there, and later attended a clown class at Arizona State University and the California Clown Co.
